About BBMS:

Blue Butterfly Montessori School, stablished in January 2013 and located in the heart of downtown Toronto offers an outstanding Montessori Toddler and Preschool program to nurture and guide each child during the beginning stages of their life.

Our school provides children with a strong academic foundation based on Montessori Philosophy where children’s intellectual abilities and self-esteem will grow and flourish. Through our enriched program, their imagination and curiosities will be refined, their thinking skills will become superior and they will learn to respect others and themselves.

Licensed under the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA)

BBMS is a fully licensed school by the Ministry of Education, approved by Fire and Health department. We adhere to all the policies and regulations set by the Ministry to ensure a safe and quality educational experience.

CCMA Applicant School

BBMS is an authentic Montessori program and is fully committed to follow the Montessori philosophy and is in the process of accreditation by CCMA.

Safety and Cleanliness

Some of the points we implement to promote a safer and healthier environment for our children are as follows:

1. Children, staff and visitors switch to indoor shoes when entering school.
2. Classrooms and playgrounds are cleaned on a daily basis.
3. Working materials, sleeping cots and children’s water bottles are sanitized every week.
4. Our kitchen staff are certified food handlers to ensure a proper food preparation.
5. All staff are First aid and CPR trained.
6. We ensure that all staff and children’s immunization records are up to date.
7. All staff and volunteers are required to provide an updated Vulnerable sector Police Record Check.
8. All materials and playground equipment are being inspected on a daily basis to reduce hazards.

Fenced Indoor and Outdoor Playgrounds

BBMS is equipped with two playgrounds, one indoor on the main floor and one outdoor on the second floor both fenced for more safety and security for your child.

We are proud to offer the children a hot catered meal and snacks from Yummy Catering.
